Sleepy Sunday
I am planning on having a 15% off sale for Black Friday through Cyber Monday. You can reserve items now and buy them during the sale. There will also be free shipping for the month of December.
I'm also looking for new ideas for my shop. What do you think makes my shop Frankie's Artwork? Anyone that is having a sale for the holidays, then tell me and I'll post it on my blog.
I hope everyone is having good sales for the holidays.

Thirsty Thursday
Well not much is happening other than I'm crazy with school, but I'm also doing something called the Sketchbook Project 2011. They give me a sketchbook and a theme to fill the sketchbook up with and then I send it back to travel the states. So I have been doing that while I can. My theme is Jackets, Blankets, and Sheets. Here are some of my finished pages.
You can find the rest at my sketch blog.

Measured Monday
So school is taking over my life once again. I have three projects due at once so it's very crazy. I'm posting to notify y'all of new items I will post in my shop starting next week. I made cameos, more strawberry necklaces, erasers, a little fairy boy, and my favorite, pop-tab bracelets with buttons sewn on. I made myself one too and I wear it everywhere. It slips over the hand and is sized for the average wrist. I'm also thinking of making a listing for a custom pop-tab bracelet with buttons so people can choose the colors of the buttons. Well that's all for now. I have to run to class.

Measured Monday
So I know I haven't been on in forever. I was taking advantage of my vacation. Now I'm back at school and I'm determined to get my dream job. So I'm going to start up a sketch blog soon. When I do I'll send a link. It's only going to feature my art. Some may be sold on my Etsy, but it's mostly like a "in-process-online-portfolio".
How is everyone? Missed me much or not at all? :) I have made new items for my Etsy so you should check out my shop. I'm selling some of my life studies I've done. I've only sold two items since I opened the shop in Jan online and outside of the shop I've sold about 8 items. So it's not bad, but it's not great. I've taken to making a birthday presents for friends so they have free items and get word about my shop through them. I've also made myself a shirt that I hand drew my art on with my shop url on. I'll post a picture of it soon. So this blog is just a quick catch up of what has happened and such.
Since I'll be busy, this may turn into a bi-weekly blog where I may only post twice a week. It would be easier on me. I kind of rambled when I posted once a day anyways. Yea so that's it for today. Bye guys.

Whimisical Wednesday including Interview with mytangiblepeace
Today is a special day because my blog has an interview with Etsy artist mytangiblepeace. So let's get to know her!
Jenn, known on Etsy as mytangiblepeace, is an Emergency Services Social worker, wife, artist, friend, and mother of four. (The baby should be born this week I believe. How exciting!) She has my BA in psychology. She loves being outside yet can find peace and balance just chilling out in a local coffee shop. In the summer she enjoys rollerblading and long walks with the family. In the winter she skis, snowshoe and sled with the kids. She's an optimist and outgoing people person. She lives in rural VT in the foothills of Mt Mansfield. (That's a lot!)
She actually started to sculpt her amazing babies as her way to find her own tangible peace. She lost her first born daughter to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) on October 8, 2000. Like for every mother that loses a child, it was devastating for her. She bounced back and forth from immense grief to being able to deal with her grief for the longest time. On the 5th anniversary of her child's death, the grief once again overwhelmed her and she did everything to try to deal with the grief.
Her friend emailed her an email on hand sculpted "marzipan babies", but Jenn found out the babies were made out of polymer clay instead of marzipan. She wanted to learn. Inspired by the "marzipan babies" and Canadian Artist Camille Allen, she learned how to move and transform the clay along with how to move and transform her grief. Now she spends hours upon hours on her sculptures because they are very therapeutic for her. It was a way for her to heal. Now she sculpts to hopefully help others' find their tangible peace with a lost child.
She's an amazing artist and great person. She wants to remind everyone that "one never overcomes or is able to heal their grief, but it is possible to learn how to live with it". Her sculptures are her way of helping.
How amazing! Go congratulate her on her new child and check out her sculptures. You will not be unimpressed.
I learned more about SIDS here.
Jenn's own blog on what exactly happened and what she went through is here.
Her shop is here.

Tickled Tuesday
I know I haven't posted in a long while so I'm sorry for that. I just don't know. I guess I was too lazy to post. Well, a quick update on everything.
I finished the Mother Mary painting and made a digital collage of my next painting. I finished my animation project and now I have to fix it and a video for my animation class before it ends in three weeks. That's right. Three weeks of school left in the semester so that's three weeks for me to work on a big painting and animations. It's going to be hectic, but I'm excited.
I've posted some of the animation stills for sale on both Zibbet and Etsy. I also listed some new prints.
I'm being interviewed today around five for my school newspaper. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. I've never been interviewed. So hopefully that turns out well.
There's not much else to say. So here's a funny episode of Mameshiba. You should watch them all. They're really funny.

Thirsty Thursday
Hello everyone! It's been so long since I've posted. I had been studying like crazy for a test and then when it was over I just crashed. I've been battling with a fever also so all I've been doing is sleeping and classes. I have been doing some crafting though so it's all good. I made a rose necklace, drew a portrait, and have been working on my oil painting. So on the left is all that I worked on on Tuesday and on the right is what I finished today. Now all I got to do is paint the rose and then I'll be done. I got to tell you though, the face really frustrated me to no end. I was ready to give up.

Thirsty Thursday
So I decided to do a special thing for ya'll and show ya'll my painting process ( in a way). Every other day ( that I have painting class) I paint for four hours on a painting. This is the Virgin Mary oil painting I'm currently working on. The one on the left is day 1 and the one on the right is day 2. This way ya'll can see how much work I put into my paintings.
I also got a twitter account so go follow me. Also, check out both my Etsy and my Zibbet for new listings.
And since yesterday I put up that "Why is the Rum Gone?" Remix for all the Pirates of the Caribbean fans I decided to do something for the Lord of the Rings fans. So here's this remix. I can never watch this thing without a straight face. Enjoy!

Whimsical Wednesday
Hello everyone. How has your week been? I'm excited to go home tomorrow. After my last class, I'm heading back to San Antonio to enjoy Easter and my brother's birthday with my family so I'm very excited. I got my brother a pretty funny shirt so I hope he likes it. I was trying to make him a wallet, but I didn't have all of my supplies so I just bought him a shirt instead. So I joined Zibbet and put up one listing so far. I wanted to see if it will help or hurt my profits so I guess you can think of it as an experiment.
I had a crazy idea to have a jewelry party. Has anyone ever had one of those or been to one? Basically I was thinking of changing it up and not only have jewelry that I have made, but basically an example of everything I can do. I have a vague idea on how to do this. Do you think it's a good idea for self promotion? Got any ideas for it?
Well, I'm done for now so here's one of my favorite remixes for all Pirates of the Caribbean fans.

Tickled Tuesday
Wow I did not get any sleep last night. Well I got to catch everyone up to date. Yesterday and today I listed new items (still listing all the things from Spring Break. I wish I had another week like that I got so much done.). So yesterday I listed Gold Earrings and Amber Ear Cuff and today I listed White White Bunny Bunny who is actually part of my Oops Sale Section. I found some people doing this on Etsy and they said they still sold the items so I thought I would try it.
Also, my painting Teacher's Assistant was telling me where she learned how to paint Renaissance style. At special Classical Atelier Schools. So I'm trying to find them. If you know of one please tell me.
And there is a give away going on. To enter click here. I forgot to say that you should leave me a way to get in contact with you. Okay, that's all for today.

Sleepy Sunday
It truly is a sleepy Sunday for me. I've been goofing off and sleeping. Just overall relaxing. Well today I went to Terra Burger. It's an organic burger restaurant and it's actually pretty good. I didn't think it would be, but it is. So if there is one in your town you should go try it.
I got my first sale! I'm so happy! It made me feel so good. I didn't believe it at first. I was so surprised. So tomorrow I'm going to ship out the item.
Well for today I listed the Comet Pendant. So go check it out. I really like it.
Oh my new favorite listing from another seller is this DIY Alice in Wonderland Anime Teapot Necklace. It's definitely different. It's by bellyzmama so go check out her shop.

Silly Saturday
So I'm just chilling. I did this painting last night base on stick figures and I'm thinking about doing a whole series on it. I want to do a big painting with a whole scene of stick figure war. My friend and I would draw an ongoing drawing of our stick figures battling in English until there was no more space left on the paper. So I really want to do a big painting like that. This painting is called "A Day on the Town" and will be part of the stick figure series. I really like it. Until I get a better picture for Etsy it's just going to hang on my wall.
I did put up a new listing for Etsy. I've been putting up several because I went on a making spree during Spring Break and made a whole ton of items. I'm just posting one per day. Last night I realized I left some items at home. I'll get them after Easter. Today I listed Beepers the Bendable Robot Pendant. Beepers likes to wiggle and move about. He's always wanted to be a dancer, but Beeper just has one flaw in his dancing. He can't do the traditional robot dance like all the other robots. He just wiggles and moves. So he's decided to do it around your neck. What's cool is that he is made from a special polymer clay found at Hobby Lobby and Michaels that when baked can bend. So his arms and legs bend.
So in honor of Beepers, I've decided to load up a funny robot video I found. So enjoy!

Thank God It's Friday
Hello everyone! How are ya'll today? I got a new Etsy listing up. Candy Stripes - Ribbon Hoop Earrings and they are currently shipping for free.
Well here are my work in progress photos that never loaded yesterday. First up is a pregnant lady made out of sculpey. It still needs to be painted. I was thinking yellow because I see yellow as a very happy color. I believe that being pregnant is the highlight of a woman's life (for women who really want kids).

Thirsty Thursday
So I have a test tomorrow that I should be studying. Tonight is most likely going to be an all nighter. Yay for me! In the meantime, I decided to update. The give away will be on Monday so look for it then. I have some pretty crocheted earrings to give away!
I posted an item on Etsy. It called Strawberry Necklace and it's pretty enough to eat! Love it so much!
I finally got work-in-progress photos, but my laptop is being stupid and not letting me upload them so I'll upload them tomorrow. Remember that all items in my shop have free shipping!

I know I am posting late, but better late than never. Nothing much has been going on really. I'm just dreading going back to classes on Monday. My ear really hurts. I think I may have an ear infection. I don't know yet because I haven't gone to the doctor. I hope I don't. It will hurt when I swim.
I finally got my first treasury, Little Ones, up so go check it out. I'm pretty happy. Also, coming soon is an interview with mytangiblepeace from Etsy soon so be on the lookout for it. Please go check out and comment on my treasury soon!

Thank God It's Friday
It's Friday and it's been a slow day. I'm not happy that it's Friday because I have to go back to school on Monday and I don't want to. I'm not looking forward to school work.
For today I re-listed Enfant on Etsy for $75. It's a beautiful mixed media piece I did that was inspired by my pro-life morals and my love for babies. Seriously, I'm baby crazy. I feel that this poem expresses it pretty well:
Precious one,
So small,
So sweet
Dancing in
on angel feet
Straight from Heaven's
brightest star
What a miracle
you are!

Thirsty Thursday
So here are the Alice in Wonderland inspired earrings, "Chasing the White Rabbit". It's not a very good picture because it was taken quickly with my camera phone. It's already been sold. My friend Melissa saw it and loved the pair so much that she wanted them. So I'll have to make another pair to sell on Etsy. I love them though. I wish I wore it to the movie. It would have been a good advertisement.
I ordered new Moo business cards and I'm really excited for them to come in. They are advertised as free, but there is still a shipping fee. It's ok though. I'm really excited. I bet they will turn out really well. You can get them here.
So going through Etsy and I found two cool new sellers. One was nonesuchgarden who makes these cute little felt animal plushies. They are so adorable like this one:
The other seller is TheMidnightOrange. She has awesome sculptures like A Lesson in Forest Modesty - Heidi and Boo Collection. Go check out both sellers.

Whimsical Wednesday
Well, it's been a while, but I am alive. I've been enjoying my vacation. I went to go see Alice In Wonderland. It was so cool that I saw it in 3D twice. I love Alice in Wonderland. I made earrings inspired by the movie. They are of Alice chasing the White Rabbit. I'll put them on Etsy later. I actually have tons of new items ready I just have to take pictures so be on the look out for them!
On a side note, I was wondering what people were talking about in the forum about people selling non-handmade items on Etsy. I hadn't seen any of that on Etsy before. Well the other day I was browsing through Books and Zines, my favorite category, and ran into a seller who was selling Disney books. They didn't write, illustrate, or publish them and it just annoyed me to no end. I was really mad. Now I know what everyone was talking about.

Okay, guys just a quick post to update everyone on what's happening. I couldn't post yesterday because my computer crashed and I had to fix it. It's all good now. I've been working on some new items for my shop and I've finished three just yesterday. I won't post them in my shop until mus later. I also took some work-in-progress photos to show you all where I am heading, but I won't post them until tomorrow. Everything is going fine. I'm enjoying my Spring Break and I'm going to head out with friends to watch Valentine's Day in theaters later today.
On a really awesome note, everyone check out my shop. I've lowered prices on about half of my items!

Thirsty Thursday
Wow, I just realized that I've have this blog for 8 days. Pretty cool! And I have my first follower, Natalie! I give you a shout out (although currently you are the only one reading this :p ).
Anyways, Spring Break is coming up and I'm excited. I get to work on everything I was to without school getting in the way. I will definitely work on a still life oil painting of my key necklace, the duct tape purse I'm designing, and a strawberry necklace. I'm hoping to get a lot done in this one week.
Also, on a really cool note, I am also making items for the UT Women's Water Polo Fundraiser, so if you live in Austin you can buy my items without the shipping cost! :)

Thirsty Thursday
So for today I decided to put up some items from my wishlist on Etsy. I love these items, but won't get them yet until I have a little bit more money.
At the very top of my wishlist is Ooak Mystery Baby Semi Custom Newborn Art Doll by mytangiblepeace.
I really love this listing because you don't know what you will get and I just love babies! Love them to death. The detail is amazing and I just want to cuddle the baby in my arms.
Another item in my wishlist is something I'm on the fence about getting. It's Preserved Dragon Embryo Pendant (Gold Wings) by justJB.
It's a funky little pendant that I would like, but I don't know if I really, really want it. I'm just very on the fence.
